Signet watermarks and secures PDF files entirely on your own Mac. This policy is short because Signet's developer collects nothing: no documents, no profile data, no usage analytics, no identifiers of any kind.
01What Signet does with your files
Signet processes only the PDF files you explicitly choose — by dragging them onto the app, using the Choose Files dialog, or opening them with Signet. That processing happens entirely on your Mac. Your files are never uploaded, transmitted, or made accessible to Signet's developer or to any third party.
02Where your settings are stored
Watermark and security profiles you create in Signet are saved locally on your Mac, inside your user account's Application Support folder. Signet's developer has no access to this data.
Optional cross-Mac sync. If you turn on profile sync in Settings, Signet stores your profiles in a folder you personally choose — for example, a folder in iCloud Drive or Dropbox. That folder is synced by the cloud service tied to your own account, the same way any other file in it would be. Signet's developer never sees or has access to that folder or its contents. Leaving sync off means this never applies.
03No analytics, no tracking, no advertising
Signet contains no analytics libraries, crash reporters, advertising code, or any mechanism that tracks how you use the app. It makes no network requests of its own.
04No account, no personal information
Signet does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide your name, email address, or any other personal information to use any feature.
05App Sandbox and file permissions
Signet runs inside Apple's App Sandbox, which by design restricts it to only the files and folders you specifically grant it access to — either by dragging a file in, choosing it from an Open panel, or explicitly picking an output or sync folder. Signet cannot see any other files on your Mac.
06Children's privacy
Signet does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information from anyone at all.
07Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same page with a revised "last updated" date above.
